Five songs you need to hear right now!

Five songs you need to hear right now!

With warm weather comes good vibes. Here are five songs you need to hear this week that will get you into a groove you just can’t miss.

Master Peace - My Guitar

Master Peace’s name has been circulating the UK’s Indie Rock scene as one of its gleaming new faces since his 2024 debut, How To Make A Master Peace, a genre-clashing Rock album following in the footsteps of many of London’s great Rock revivalists like Bloc Party. On his newest EP, Stupid Kids, Master Peace returns with his tongue-in-cheek style to bring eclectic yet on-repeat bangers. The track, My Guitar, is defined by its Acid House bass line that switches back and forth between heavy power chords and Peace’s keen ear for a catchy chorus.

Mgna Crrta - BFF (After Remix)

American Pop duo Mgna Crrta is usually known for their Dubstep-Pop-heavy aesthetics. But when teaming up with new age Trip-Hop darlings, named After, their layers get stripped back and reimagined into a psychedelic and dreamlike state. BFF (After Remix) takes the opening track from Mgna Crrta’s latest Mixtape, Beautiful Disaster, and slows it down to an apt BPM for steady breakbeats, luscious pads, and soaring vocals that reinterpret the infectious love letter to friendship into a tender and emotional ballad.

Otha - Baby I Forgive You

Otha is one of the many names coming from Scandinavia, subtly taking over the next wave of Indie Pop. Otha’s sound blends the tenderness of modern dance pop and spacey vocal passages with four-to-the-floor kicks and House-infected bass lines to create her own unique atmosphere. On Baby I Forgive You, Otha does just that, taking the all-time classic M1 Organ and plucky synth melodies and mixing them with her longing and tender vocals that lightly move across the drum-steady dance song.

Babe Dylan - Your Turn

Babe Dylan is everything a contemporary Pop group needs to be. The LA duo captured the internet’s attention with their grimy, Electroclash-style saw basslines, fluttering MGMT-style melodies, Indie Rock drum grooves, and Bedroom Pop vocals. Your Turn focuses on these attributes, taking a Grunge-Pop approach with its large build-ups and angsty breakdowns. If there is any band that captures what Gen-Z’s favorite sounds are, it’s Babe Dylan.

Jungle - Carry On

In the last decade, Jungle has solidified themselves as one of the essential faces of New Age Soul. The English trio, known for their swift grooves and atmospheric tunes, create perfect songs for any atmosphere. This week, the band announced their fifth studio album, Sunshine, and released a new single to accompany the announcement. Carry On is a bright and glimmering soul track, perfectly setting the stage for the warmer seasons approaching with its tender bass line, titillating percussive elements, and singer Lydia Kitto’s soft falsetto.

You can find all these songs and many more in our “Now Playing At Activaire HQ” playlist on Spotify. We update it weekly, so be sure to hit that heart button.
